Expansion for Historic School

The 150 year old Summer Fields School, Oxford, has plans to expand by building a ‘pre-prep’ school on their Summertown site to accommodate boys from four to seven years of age, through Reception to year Three.

Subject to planning permission the new Summer Fields pre-prep school would be open in September 2018 for Reception classes and will introduce the later years in 2019, 2020.

OA have worked with the school on a contemporary addition to the Newton building with purpose built facilities for 80 boys aged four to eight. It will house learning and library spaces as well as indoor and outdoor play spaces.

Chairman of govenors Andrew Reekes said “We are delighted to now be able to make the benefits of a Summer Fields education available to even more boys in Oxford and the surrounding area."
