Hanover House Planning Consent Granted
Hanover House is an eight storey, 90 dwelling apartment block in Reading. The building was identified to have Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) cladding which fails to meet current fire safety standards.
Working closely with Project Managers, Ridge and our clients, design build contractors, Art Contracts Ltd, Oxford Architects have developed proposals to replace the ACM cladding with a solid aluminium cladding system with the required limited combustibility.
Following consultation with Reading Borough Council planning consent was granted in October 2020 for the removal or the existing cladding and replacement with the new system.
Enabling works started on site in December 2020 with the main works starting in January 2021 and due for completion July 2021.
