Portcullis Development at Planning
OA have submitted a planning application for the residential development of the former Portcullis Social Club in Wallingford to provide a total of 14 residential units (5x1-bed flats and 9x2-bed flats) and associated ancillary facilities. The site is located within the Conservation Area.
The layout is based around an open courtyard and the buildings are proposed to be contemporary in style while maintaining simplicity of façade and balanced proportions of the traditional brewery buildings they replace. The appearance of the buildings is clearly influenced by the industrial history of the site and adopts historic features within the design to tell the story of development.
