Two Oxford Preservation Trust Awards

OA were delighted to be present at the Oxford Preservation Trust Awards 2019 having received a Letter of Commendation for 2 separate schemes; Newton Lodge & Fairfield Residential Home

Congratulations to the project teams and many thanks to OPT for organising a great event.

Newton Lodge, Summer Fields School.

This project involved the refurbishment of the c19th century villa, a new modern extension and reconfiguration of the gardens to form the new Pre-Prep school serving Summer Fields and has been a great success for the school, providing them with 4No. new Year classrooms, library, external play areas and an improvement of the appearance to Mayfield Road.

Fairfield Residential Home

A purpose built new residential home with 38 en-suite resident rooms and communal spaces. Designed to provide modern, comfortable accommodation for active elderly residents with an average age of over 90 years.

The building comprises a series of linked pavilions set around a constrained site, with timber colonnades to provide shading and privacy to rooms. Located in the Conservation Area of North Oxford, it is designed to be contemporary but sympathetic to the residential houses it adjoins.
