Working as part of the design team for the contactor, Overbury Plc, we completed the fit-out of Knightstone Housing Association’s new office headquarters in Weston-Super-Mare on time and on budget.

We were asked by the Client to take a second look at their interior designers’ proposals as these were over budget and undeliverable by the contract deadline. The scheme had a confusing and excessive palette of finishes and was in need of rationalisation. We therefore applied design logic to the plan and created a layout of well thought-out working zones with unique identities. This required in-depth conversations and hands-on workshops with numerous representatives of the end user groups in order to get their agreement.

In addition, the original proposal had no understanding of cost and procurement resulting in a scheme that required value engineering. We carefully guided the Client through its various stages and delivered the best results within strict time and budget constraints.

The completed scheme fulfills the Client’s brief and by incorporating corporate colours in a subtle and elegant manner, we reinforced their current ethos of creating a calm and relaxing working environment for their office staff.
