Oxford Architects were instructed by GreenSquare Accord to undertake the conversion of an existing two storey building into 16no. one-bedroom flats for over 55’s living.

The layout of the existing building has been extensively adapted and reconfigured to suit the new use, including the removal of existing load bearing internal walls and the upgrading of the existing building fabric to meet current building regulations.

We have worked closely with the client and Building Control to ensure that a proportion of the new flats meet the standards set out in Part M4(2), to ensure their future adaptability should it be required by residents.
